Dan Porter
BBG Broker
Bio
Dan moved west to Bozeman from Perry Hall, Maryland in the spring of 1986. He brought with him 12 years of construction and real estate experience. Dan’s real estate focus in Montana has been helping clients to realize their dreams of home ownership. He specializes in homes, land and equestrian properties.
His construction experience has allowed him to build two homes for himself from the ground up, so he knows what to look for when buying a home, or choosing a home site. He represents several builders in the construction of new homes for the spec market and the Bozeman “Parade of Homes”, as well as custom homes for his clients. His land sales run the gamut from city lots in town, to parcels hundreds of acres in size. Dan is a Graduate of the REALTOR Institute, a Director of the Back Country Horsemen and a Sponsor of Ducks Unlimited.
Dan’s favorite past time is horseback riding in the mountains, and doing volunteer trail maintenance with the Back Country Horsemen. He knows the National Forest around Bozeman, and he can tell you the best places to hike, fish, ride or hunt. His favorites are quarter horses, Labrador retrievers and being outdoors landscaping for wildlife. He spends many hours growing and nurturing trees and shrubs to create wildlife habitat for his own home, as well as for his friends and clients. Many of his customers consider him one of their most trusted friends.
Dan’s wife, Jamie, is also a licensed Realtor, and has been working with him since 2001. She assists Dan in marketing, client follow up and in making their real estate transactions run smoothly. She has a strong background in marketing, office management and customer service. If Dan isn’t in, just ask for Jamie and she will be glad to help with any questions that you might have!
